Adeline Mae Swonger, 84, of Superior, died Tuesday, November 28, 2017, at Essentia-St. Mary's Hospital in Duluth, surrounded by her family.

She was born in Superior on Dec. 10, 1932, the daughter of Basil and Etta Fall.

Adeline married Jack Swonger on May 24, 1957, and they celebrated 55 years of marriage together until his death in 2012.

She worked as a dietary aide retiring from St. Francis South. She enjoyed fishing and cooking. Most important to her was raising her family and she loved spending time with her grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Jack; and sister, Angeline Hall.

Adeline is survived by her children, Rick (Robin) Swonger of Hayward, WI, Faye (Ron) Livangood of Hinkley, MN, Michael (Trina) Swonger of Rock Island, TX, Jack (Debbie) Swonger, Jr. of Solon Springs, WI, and Christine (Scott) McDonald of Foxboro, WI; 29 grandchildren and 59 great-grandchildren; and very special sisters-in-law, nieces and nephews.

A graveside service will be held at Greenwood Cemetery on Friday, December 1 ^st at 11:00 a.m. Captain Jasen Elcomb of the Salvation Army will officiate.
