Alan W. Adams, 69, of Superior, died of natural causes on Tuesday, October 19, 2021 in Superior.

He was born April 4, 1952 in Duluth, MN, son of Joseph and Rose (Volk) Adams.

Alan was an accomplished guitarist and for many years played in various bands in the Twin Ports. He was an avid Viking and Twins fan.

Even with his disability, Alan did not let that stop him from working as a custodian for various businesses.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Gary D. Adams; sister, Susan J. Strand; niece, Debby Adams; and beloved nephew, Scott J. Fredrickson.

Survivors include his sisters, Lucy (Rick) Gardner, Duluth, and Carol Miller, Deltona, FL; sister-in-law, Lori Adams, Deltona FL; nephews, Jerry (Laurie), Geoff (Peggy), Greg (Missy) Strand, and Gordon Adams; nieces, Stacey Fredrickson and Kristine Redstone; great nephews, and nieces and cousins.

Visitation will be from 10 until the 11 a.m. service Saturday October 30, 2021 at Downs Funeral Home, 1617 N. 19 ^th Street, Superior.  Pastor Lincoln Fry will officiate.

Pallbearers will be Jerry Strand, Geoff Strand, Greg Strand and Rick Gardner.

Burial will be at Forest Hill Cemetery, Duluth.
