Obituary

Albert Ray Dick, 67, of Superior, went home to be with his Lord and Saviour on Thursday, July 14, 2016. He was born in Jacksonville, Florida on July 2, 1949 and was a Superior resident for many years.

Al was raised in the Chisholm/Hibbing area and graduated from Hibbing High School in 1967. He attended Hibbing Vocational School, and WITC Superior.

In his younger years on the Range he enjoyed hunting with his brothers, and he worked in the mines for several years. He was also known for his infamous "fringed jacket". He moved to the Superior area in the early 70's. He worked as a grain inspector for the State of Wisconsin, and later worked for several moving companies and in the electronic and carpentry fields.

He was a huge animal lover and whenever asked would happily pet sit for all of his friends. Al enjoyed reading his bible and spending time with the Lord. His son's Josh, Ben and Ian were the love of his life and made him very proud.

He was preceded in death by his parents Jane (Albin) Pechovnik and Alford Dick; brothers, Dale Dick II, and Wayne Dick; and sister, Roberta Peake.

Al is survived by his three sons, Joshua, Benjamin and Ian Dick, all of Superior; sisters, Sue (Ike) Vidmar of Hibbing, Mary (Steve) Evanov of Coon Rapids, and Ruth Pechovnik of Hibbing; sister in laws, Lisa Dick of Atlanta, GA, and Kim Woods of LaJolla, CA; mother of his son's, Debbie Hanson of Superior; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

A graveside service will be held at the Chisholm Cemetery in Chisholm, MN with Pastor Mark Larson officiating on Friday, August 5, 2016 at 1pm. A light lunch will follow at the Hibbing Senior Center, 1202 E Howard Street, Hibbing, MN. A celebration of life will be held in Superior at a later date.

He is loved dearly and will be missed deeply by his sons, family, and friends. He now is at peace and rests in the arms of our Saviour Jesus Christ.
