Alfred 'Al' F. Stolzman, 84, of South Range, died Thursday, January 25, 2024, at St. Luke's Hospital in Duluth.
Al was born in Cleveland, WI on February 26, 1939, the son of Alfred H. and Alma (Schuette) Stolzman. He married Diane Breezee on May 29, 1963, and they celebrated 60 years of marriage.
Al served his country enlisting in the United States Navy. He worked for many years as a Heavy Machinery Operator with the IUOE Local #139.
He was an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed hunting and fishing. If he wasn't in the woods, you could find him tinkering on his 'Toys.' Al and Diane were members of the Good Sams Club and would travel around Wisconsin maintaining State Parks.
He was preceded in death by his parents and siblings, Eugene, Caroline, Shirley, and Michael.
Al is survived by his wife, Diane; children, Julie Hanson of Superior, Alan (Karen) Stolzman of St. Louis, Jeffery (Katie) Stolzman of South Range, and Heidi (Howard) Soli of Duluth; grandchildren, Kevin, Victoria, Sara, Daniel, Amanda, Joseph, Hollie, Cassidy, and Autumn; his great grandchildren; brother, Richard Stolzman of Alabama and sister, Marilyn Moll of Florida; and many nieces, nephews, extended family, and his many, many, many hats.
Following Al's wishes a private family celebration of life will be held.
