Allan R. Follis, 77, of Lake Nebagamon, died Monday, January 11, 2021 at Essentia – St. Mary's Hospital in Duluth.

Allan was born in Superior, on January 21, 1943, the son of Raymond and Yvonne (Fields) Follis. He married Gail M. Ronning on May 30, 1992 at Trinity Lutheran Church in Lake Nebagamon.

Al loved hunting, fishing on the Brule, and spent much of his time in recent years tending to his vegetable garden in the backyard. He was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church and spent many years singing in the choir. Al started his career in 1967 working for UA Local #11 Plumbers and Pipefitters until he retired in 2006.

He was preceded death by his parents, son Todd, and brother Thomas Jon Follis.

Allan is survived by his wife of 29 years, Gail (Ronning) Follis; children, Trisha (Jason) Bartylla of Champlin, MN, Troy (Wendy) Follis of Maple, WI and Travis (Kim) Follis of Lodi, WI; grandchildren, Ellie and Kate Bartylla, Hunter and Parker Follis, and Preston and Riley Follis; brothers, Harold (Nancy) Follis of Grafton, WI and Gene (Barbara) Follis of Maple; nieces and nephews, Doug Follis, Tom (Jenny) Follis, Sherrie (Greg) Nackel, Andy (Karen) Follis, Samantha (Jake) Dobson, Sheila (Kyle) Bartelt, Serena Follis, and Lisa (Joey) Kramer; and many great nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held on Thurs. May 27th from 11:00 a.m. until the Noon memorial service at Trinity Lutheran Church in Lake Nebagamon. Burial will be in Lake Nebagamon Cemetery.
