Allan Marshall "Skip" Jones, 67, of South Range, died unexpectedly at home on Tuesday, May 15, 2018.
He was born in Duluth, son of Bill and Betty (Estling-Kunert) Jones.
In his early years, Skip lived in the Town of Lakeside, and graduated from Northwestern High School.
He was married to Becky Gotelaere, and they would have celebrated 40 years together this June.
Skip joined the Navy in 1969. He was a Vietnam veteran and very proud of his military service. After the Navy, he worked many years for Fraser Shipyard, then at Sears as a repairman.
He enjoyed camping and fishing and being the go-to-fix-it-man.
Preceding him in death were his parents; his wife's parents, Wen and Frances Gotelaere; and brothers-in-law, Bob Johnson, John and Nick Gotelaere, and Bob Rolandson.
Survivors include his wife, Becky; daughters, Sara Pfau and Tonya Sickler, both of Superior; son, Josh (Tina) Jones, Richland, WA; grandchildren, Nathan, Zachary, Jacob, Tyler, Jourdyn (Eddie), Taylor, and London; great-grandchildren, Zoey and Maxwell; sisters, Kathy Johnson and Arlene (Jim) Erickson; nieces, nephews and his dog, Chewy.
A remembrance service will be held at 11 a.m., Saturday, May 19, 2018, at the Parkland Town Hall, 6221 E. Veteran's Drive, South Range.
Military honors will be accorded by the Richard I. Bong American Legion Post 435, at the town hall.
