Allen J. Strain, 79, of Foxboro, WI, passed away peacefully at his home on Friday, June 6, 2025, surrounded by his loving family.

Born on July 21, 1945, in Rochester, MN, to June (McKay) and James Strain, Allen proudly served in the United States Navy. After his service, he devoted 32 years to working as a tractor mechanic and technical manual writer for Case International. Allen's mechanical expertise was also shared on the family's dairy farm, where he worked alongside his parents, and his brother and sister-in-law, Dallas and Brenda Strain. Known as a "Mr. Fix It," he was always eager to lend a hand and bring his passion for farming and mechanics to life in every project.

Allen was an avid outdoorsman who loved fishing, hunting, spending time in nature, and feeding his birds. A dedicated 4-H volunteer and leader for 25 years, he had a deep commitment to youth and community. He was also a loyal fan of the Minnesota Vikings, a team he followed with passion throughout his life.

Allen was preceded in death by his parents, June and James Strain, and his brother, Dean Strain.

He is survived by his beloved wife of 56 years, Nancy; their children, Julie (Scott) Sexton and James (Colleen) Strain; his cherished grandchildren, Brooke, Andrew, Jamie, Caleb, and Gabriel; his brother, Dallas (Brenda) Strain; and many nieces, nephews, and extended family. He will also be dearly missed by his dog, Rhen, who was a constant companion.

A celebration of life will be held Thursday, July 10, 2025, from 11:00 am until 1:00 p.m. at Downs Life Celebration Center, 1902 N. 34th St., Superior, WI to honor Allen's life, legacy, and love of family and community. Military honors accorded by the Richard I. Bong American Legion Post #435.
