Allen Wicklund, 50, died January 9, 2011, in California.
He was born December 28, 1960 in Saint Cloud, MN, son of Donna and Leonard Wicklund.
Allen spent the majority of his childhood in Superior, WI. He attended Cathedral Junior High and was a 1979 graduate of Superior High School. Allen studied at UMD prior to moving to Florida where he finished his degree at the University of Central Florida. He was currently residing in Mission Viejo, California.
Preceding him in death was one sister, Joann Wicklund.
Survivors include his wife, Barbara Lichtig MacArthur Wicklund; four children, Cole (Savannah) Wicklund, Christa Wicklund, Reed Wicklund, and Abbey Wicklund; parents, Leonard and Donna Wicklund, Superior; one brother, Leonard (Dawn)Wicklund, Superior; two sisters, Janet (Brian) Anderson, Superior, and Mary (Johnny) Hackensmith, Superior; and several nieces and nephews.
Allen will be greatly missed by his family and friends, and will live on forever in our hearts.
Visitation will be from 10 until the 11 a.m. memorial service, Saturday, January 22, 2011 at Duluth Gospel Tabernacle, 1515 W. Superior Street, Duluth.
In lieu of flowers, a donation may be made to the Down's Syndrome Association of Central Florida.
Downs Funeral Home, 1617 N. 19th Street, Superior, is assisting the family with arrangements.
