Obituary

The Lord called Alvin E. Pearson home on Tuesday, May 29, 2012 after a lengthy illness. He passed away peacefully at his home surrounded by his family.

He is survived by his wife, Connie; four sons, Adam, Brian, Rick and Jim; three daughters, Amanda, Sheila and Lori; a brother, Douglas (Anna) Pearson of Foxboro Wis., two sisters, Audrey (Richard) Forrest of International Falls, Minn., and Mary Ellen (Brandon) Holmes also of Foxboro; eight granddaughters; seven grandsons; three great- grandsons; three great-granddaughters; and many nieces and nephews.

Alvin was preceded in death by his late wife, Maxine Pearson; his parents, Alte and Gertie Pearson; a son, Jim; a grandson, Joshua; and two great-grandsons, James Evin Edwards and Michael Bostrom.

Alvin was born May 3, 1944 and was a lifetime resident of Foxboro. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, four wheeling and spending time with his family and friends. He also enjoyed logging and spending time in the woods. Alvin worked at several places during his lifetime, but his two favorites were cooking at Camp Nebagamon for Boys in Lake Nebagamon and for the past six years he spent at Wal-Mart in Superior. In his spare time he was an auto mechanic and enjoyed helping his family, friends and neighbors to get "back on the road". He was a volunteer fireman for the Summit Fire Department for many years.

A memorial service will be held Saturday, June 2nd at 11:00 a.m. in Bethel Lutheran Church, 5821 John Ave. with Rev Gary Garnatz officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service and inurnment will be in Summit Cemetery.

Downs Funeral Home, corner of 19th and Ogden is assisting the family with arrangements.
