Anita R. Lord, 62, of Superior died on Tuesday, April 23, 2024, in her home.

Anita was born July 22, 1961, to Addie (Kelly) and John Zinmer in Lincoln, NE.

She loved German Shepherd dogs and started a Facebook group called My GSD.  Anita was passionate about all things related to Wolves and collected wolf-related memorabilia.  She will be remembered for being the caretaker of her children and family.

Anita was preceded in death by her parents and her brother, David Zinmer.

Survivors include her children, Rebecca Selbrede, Josh DeVeau, and Russell DeVeau; her life partner, Frank Lord; her brothers, James Zinmer and Andy Zinmer; her sister, Susan King; her grandchildren, Zach DeVich and Aubrey Gilles; and her adopted son, Bill Haedrich.

A celebration of Anita's life will be held on Thursday, May 2, 2024, from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m. at Downs Funeral Home, 1617 N 19th St., Superior.
