Ann A. Landin, 99, lifelong resident or Superior, died Sunday, April 24, 2016 at Superior Nursing and Rehab Center.
Ann was born on Sept. 24, 1916 the daughter of Joseph and Mary Gabrys.
She had worked at Yale Laundry starting in 1932, then she worked at Northern Brewery from 1943-47 where she and her husband met, and then at Hawkins and Holzberg's. She was a foster grandparent for 25 years.
She had been a member of St. Stanislaus and St. Francis Xavier Churches and a member of VFW Auxiliary to Henry S. Bloomberg post #847.
Ann took great joy in being a foster grandparent and had hundreds of kids during that time. She loved being active and enjoyed walking. She was very active in blood drives and donated whenever she could.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Walter; a sister, Caroline Zukowski; and a brother, John Gabrys.
Ann is survived by her son, John (Sherry) Landin of Livingston, Texas; 3 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren; a twin sister, Theresa Krieps of Superior; and many nieces and nephews.
A private graveside service will be held.
