Ann Marie Peters, 85, lifelong resident of Superior, died Thursday, September 14, 2017 at Middle River Health and Rehab Center.

Ann was born in Superior on August 10, 1932 the daughter of Roy and Margaret Gibbs.

She had found a love for waitressing at a young age working at Coney Island. She prided herself as a waitress and also enjoyed catering. She worked at the Androy in Superior and catered to local homes. Ann would cook meals and bring baked goods to nursing home residents.

Ann also enjoyed crocheting and needle point. She loved cats and would take in and tame wild cats. Most important to her was her family, especially her grandchildren whom she adored.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Richard Peters in 2003; and her daughter, Linda Reimers in 2000.

Ann is survived by her two daughters, Susan Stalvig and Tammy (Jeff) Nelson both of Superior; grandchildren, Maria (Shane) Beach, Lori (Jason) Graves, Dane (Jennifer) McCollum, Koby McCollum, Jessica (Joe) Pearson and Aaron Reimers; several great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren; two half-sisters, Ruth Robbins of Millington, TN and Dorothy Hinnekamp of Gary New Duluth; and a sister-in-law, Nancy Peterson, Superior.

Her memorial service will be held on Saturday, September, 16 at 3:00 p.m. with Rev. Fr. Leon Flaherty as officiant. Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery.
