Anna Mae Zakowski, 80, lifetime Superior resident, died Friday, March 30, 2012 at Golden Living Center, Superior.
She was born November 17, 1931 in Superior, daughter of Anna (VanDenBerghe) and Alfred LaVallee.
On December 17, 1949 in Superior, Anna Mae LaVallee and John Paul Zakowski were united in marriage.
Anna Mae enjoyed knitting, crocheting and gardening.
Preceding her in death were her parents; husband, John in 2002; and brother, Arthur LaVallee.
Survivors include her daughter, Constance "Connie" Nordberg, Superior; son, John (LeeAnn) Zakowski, Jr., Wheatland, Wyoming; grandchildren, James Nordberg, Jr., Baraboo, WI, and Sarah Nord, Foxboro, WI; and great-grandson, Zacharie John Nord, Foxboro, WI.
Visitation will be from 10 until the 11 a.m. service Tuesday, April 3, 2012 at Downs Funeral Home, 1617 N. 19th Street, Superior, with Reverend Father James Tobolski officiating.
Pallbearers will be Douglas White, John Zakowski, Jr., Kyle Thompson, James Nordberg, Jr., and Michael Korn.
Burial will be in St. Francis Cemetery, Superior.
