Obituary

Arlene L. Eaton, 79, of Superior, died Wed., July 30, 2014 at Villa Marina Health & Rehab.

Arlene was born in Superior Jan. 31, 1935, the daughter of Frances and Nels "Ned" Olson.

She married Jack Eaton July 12, 1958 in Superior and they moved to Duluth and then to Virginia, Minn.

Arlene attended McCaskill Elementary, graduated from Central High School and was a graduate of UW-Superior. She taught in Racine and Kansas City before teaching in Duluth at Lakeside and Cobb Schools and then at Blaine Elementary in Superior. She was also the owner and director of the Children's Learning Center at UWS. She was a member of United Presbyterian Church and Chapter E of P.E.O.

She had an infectious smile and was a caring and tender caregiver. She would always give her kids a handful of M&M's on their way home.

Arlene was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Jack on June 24, 1983; a brother and sister-in-law, Robert and Fern Olson; a brother-in-law, Dan Hahn; and a dearest friend, Joy Baue.

She is survived by her two children, Chuck (Kris) Eaton of River Falls, Wis. and Beth (Tom) Lisak of Superior; grandchildren, J.P. and Eric Eaton and Kjersten, Kate and Andrew Lisak; nieces and a nephew, Barb Maunu, Pat Olson, Nancy Sparbie, Donna McFaul and David Hahn; and a special friend that came back into her life in the last few years, Ray Beauto.

Celebration of Arlene's life will be held at the United Presbyterian Church on Mon., Aug. 11th from 11am – 1pm. Inurnment will be in Forest Hill Cemetery, Duluth at 1:30 pm.

The family would like to say thank you to the "Villa Marina Family" and that they appreciate all they did for Arlene. They would also like to say thank you to the best neighbors from Amnicon Lake and Pleasant View Road. You are all very special to Arlene and our family
