Audrey Mary Heilbronner, 90, of Superior, Wis., died Tues., January 14, 2014 in Essentia-St. Mary's Duluth.
She was born June 3, 1923 in Butte, Mont., to Margaret (Lowney) and Patrick Harrington.
Audrey was a graduate of Montana State University receiving her Bachelor Degree as a Medical Technologist MTASCT. After graduation she worked at St. James Hospital in Butte and she was also employed by the government as a civil servant in Montana and Wyoming. In 1977 she moved to Denver, Colo. and worked as a Medical Technologist at St. Luke's Hospital until retiring. Following retirement Audrey moved to Superior to be near her daughter and grandsons and continued working as a volunteer at Cooper Elementary School.
She enjoyed classical music, playing bridge and knitting.
She is survived by her daughter, Anne Luckas of Superior; three grandsons, Patrick, Tyler and Andrew; two great-grandchildren, Beau and Colton; two brothers, Kenneth Harrington of Chicago, Ill. and Gerald (Colleen) Harrington of Pleasanton, Calif.
Audrey was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Julian, whom she married in 1961; and a brother, Patrick.
Audrey was a wonderful woman and beloved mother and grandmother, who will be missed very much.
A Memorial Mass will be held at 11:00 a.m. in Cathedral Of Christ The King on Friday with Rev. Fr. Andrew P. Ricci, Rector as Celebrant. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the Mass. Inurnment will take place in Butte at a later date.
