Austin Mitchell Lindstrom, age 33, of Superior, passed away in his sleep on Thursday, April 2, 2026, at his residence.

Austin was born on January 28, 1993, in Duluth, MN, to Wendy (Persgard) and Mitchell Lindstrom. A 2011 graduate of Superior High School, he went on to attend the University of Wisconsin-Madison and the University of Minnesota-Duluth. He subsequently worked various jobs throughout the Twin Ports area.

He was preceded in death by his father, Mitchell Lindstrom, on March 4, 2026. Austin is survived by his mother, Wendy, of Superior; and his sisters, Lindsey (Clay) Sekely of Philadelphia, PA, and Jessica Lindstrom of Toulouse, France.

Austin struggled with the profound burden of alcoholism throughout his adult life. His family is heartbroken, but they find comfort in knowing he is finally at peace and reunited with his dad.

A private family service will be held at a later date.
