Obituary

Barbara "Dubby" Anderson, 84, ascended to eternal life with God on Friday, May 22 nd of 2020.

Barbara was born in Superior on August 7th, 1935 the daughter of Claudine (McGill) and Irvin Mossberger. She graduated from Central High School with the class of 1953. She married the love of her life Jack Anderson in January of 1955 and they moved to Aurora, IL.

Barbara had worked for Piggly Wiggly Grocery Stores which later became Eagle Grocery for 35 years retiring as Head Cashier. After Jack retired, they spent the summers at their cabin on Big McGraw Lake in Danbury, and wintered in Hemet, California.

Dubby and Jack spent most of their lives traveling. The two met in the North End of Superior, where Dubby witnessed Richard I. Bong's infamous fly over. The two traveled an infinite number of miles through each of the 50 states as well as out of the country.

Her pets were her children. Brandy, Pepe, Poco, and Mitzi.

When she wasn't on the road Barbara devoted her time to various clubs including "The Red Hats", where she could wear her favorite colors (both red and purple), and embrace her social personality.

Dubby was able to make every day strangers into lifelong friends.

She had a place in her heart for every person she met. She loved to entertain family and friends at their cabin where she always made sure you ate enough and that you had snacks for the drive home.

Dubby was always snapping photos on her camera and was always down for a game of cribbage or for an ice cream treat.

Dubby is survived by her brother, Gordy (Judy) Mossberger, sister-in-law Carol Mossberger, brother-in-law Kevin Baker, sister-in-law June (Don) Hunter of Casper, Wyoming; brother-in-law, Ralph (Linda) Anderson of Duluth; sister-in-law Glynadene (Britton) Anderson of Illinois, Nephews Charles Jr., Mark (Jennifer), Michael, and Gary (Mia) Androsky, Amy (Troy) Gehrmann, Tyler (Crystal) Mossberger, Melissa Haynes, Summer Kubat, Irvin Mossberger, Aleeah and Amanda Baker, Dona (Scott) Barella, Joey (Larie) Hunter, Dale (Debbie) Anderson, Linda (Steve) Adcock, Jill (Dave) Clarke, as well as, many cousins, great and great-great nieces and nephews along with many friends.
