Obituary

Barbara M. Campbell, 86 of Superior, died Tuesday, February 23, 2016 at her residence surrounded by her family.

Barbara was born in Superior on Dec. 24, 1929 the daughter of Anna (Olaf) and Stanley Stramko.

She started her career in food service at the Capital Tea Rooms and once her children were grown continued her career as a member of the UWS Snack Bar crew. Upon her retirement, she crafted handmade ornaments that adorn our families' Christmas trees and shared her love of baking to both family and friends over the holidays.

Her family meant everything in her life. She was always there to support, cheer on and encourage her family whether at a recital, school concert, installation, football, basketball, hockey, baseball, volleyball, swimming, or by phone. Her final journey included much love and support of her children.

She was a member of Cathedral of Christ the King Church.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Leonard 'Pickles' Campbell; nephew, Scott Campbell; and grandson-in-law, Wayne Luoma.

Barbara is survived by her son, Len (Peggy) Campbell of Superior; daughters, Barb (Bruce) Edwards of Superior, Cindy (Rob) Downs of Superior and Laurie (Karl) Siehs of Menomonee Falls, WI; two brothers, Stanley and Edward Stramko both of Superior; sister-in-law, Lee Campbell; grandchildren, Cami (Ben) Melland, Josh (Laura) Edwards, Terra (Chris) Stenberg, Jessie (Dean) Granquist, Rob (Melissa) Downs III, Anne (Ed) Schultz, Joe (Katie) Campbell, Tom (Anna) Downs, and Amanda Siehs; and great-grandchildren, Mason and Maggie Stenberg, Anna Downs, Jake and Austin Edwards, Natalie and Nathan Schultz, Thomas 'Jed', John and Andrew Downs.

Visitation will be on Monday, Feb. 29th from 5:00 – 7:00 pm with a prayer service at 6:30 at Downs Funeral Home corner of 19th St. and Ogden Ave. Visitation will resume on Tuesday, Mar. 1st from 10:00 a.m. until the 11:00 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial at Cathedral of Christ the King Church. Rev. Fr. Andrew P. Ricci will officiate. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be her grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Barbara's name to St. Luke's Hospice, the Salvation
Army, or Cathedral Church.
