Barbara D. Counter, 73, of Minong, died Monday May 6, 2019, at Essentia-St. Mary's Hospital in Duluth.

Barbara was born on December 20, 1945 the daughter of Richard and Virginia Herubin.

She had been a nurse in Rhinelander for many years. She enjoyed crocheting and loved to go fishing.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband of 25 years, Bradley; brother, Richard Herubin, Jr; and her beloved dog, Gina Mae.

Barbara is survived by her brothers and sisters, Raymond (Donna) Herubin of Superior, John (Terri) Herubin of Superior, Kathleen (Dwight) Willoughby of Superior, Mark Herubin of Minong, Fia (Shawn Wallace) Prpic of Minneapolis and Gina (Roger) Welck of Minneapolis; many nieces and nephews; and her best friend, Nan.

A private family service will be held. Downs Funeral Home, 1617 N 19 ^th St., is assisting the family with arrangements.
