Barbara Jean Ellison, 72, of Brownsville, TX, formerly of Superior, died Thursday, May 26, 2016 at her home.

She was born in Superior on May 25, 1944, the daughter of Wallace and June (Samuelson) Grenier.

Barbara worked at Middle River Health and Rehab for 28 years and Northern Residence for 10 years until her retirement. She also enjoyed working at Missinne's Greenhouse.

She enjoyed having lunch and coffee with "the girls" and had a great sense of humor.

She was preceded in death by her parents; first husband, Orville Priem; second husband, Clarence Ellison; daughters, Kimberly Priem and Michelle Priem; grandson, William Derick; siblings, Joanne Sackett, James Grenier, and Willie Grenier.

Survivors include her daughters, Donnette (David) Smith and Cheri (Ray) Dolsen, both of Bennett; step daughter, Kathy Priem of Solon Springs; foster daughter, April Lokostik of Bennett; grandchildren, Randi Derick of South Range, Adrienne Rudolph of Superior, Kimberly Dolsen of Poplar, Devin Dolsen of Bennett, Zachary Zoltak of Bennett, and Jonny Elmore of Solon Springs; great-grandchildren, Tyler Derick, Joshua Wermter, Brayden Xiong, Shyanne Xiong, Meyah Xiong, and Zane Zoltak; and siblings, Patricia (Jared) Kenville, Janice Grenier-McConnell, Susan (William) Britton, Carol (Rodney) Lee, Richard 'Sput' (Denise) Grenier, and Michael Grenier.

Honorary pallbearers will be Barbara's grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, July 23 at 4:00 p.m. at Whispering Pines Church, Hawthorne, WI. Pastor Thomas Lindberg will officiate. Visitation will begin one hour prior.

Downs Funeral Home, corner of 19th St. and Ogden Ave. is assisting the family with arrangements.
