Barbara "Bobby" Jo Richards' Obituary
Barbara (Bobby) Jo Richards, 74, of Poplar, died Thursday, November 18, 2010 at her residence.
She was born February 1, 1936 in Clarksburg, West Virginia, daughter of Joseph and Lucy (Carnes) Ritter.
Bobby loved birds especially cardinals, flowers and collecting antique glass and plates.
Her local work history included PV Foods/General Mills in Poplar, where she retired as Human Resources Manager.
Preceding her in death were her parents and daughter-in-law, Sally M. Richards.
Survivors include her husband of 49 years, Anthony "Tony" Richards, Poplar; son, Dr. Joseph Richards, Poplar; daughter, Debra (Steve) Thill, Sauk Centre, Minnesota; 4 grandchildren; and brother, Richard (Sue) Ritter, Clarksburg, West Virginia.
Visitation will be from noon until the 2 p.m. funeral service, Tuesday, November 23, 2010 at Mission Covenant Church, Poplar. Reverend Darrell Nelson will officiate.
Following the service, everyone is invited to a luncheon that will be served in the church fellowship hall.
Downs Funeral Home, 1617 N. 19th Street, Superior, is assisting the family with arrangements.
