Barbara J. Schiller, 80, of Superior, died Tuesday June 7, 2022, at Twin Ports Health Services.

Barbara was born in Duluth on August 2, 1941, the daughter of Leonard and Mary (Muhar) Urbanski.

She graduated from Duluth Cathedral High School with the class of 1959. She went on earn her Bachelor's degree in Nursing from the College of St. Scholastica graduating in 1963.

Barb married William Schiller on September 12, 1964, in Duluth and they celebrated 47 years of marriage until his death in 2011.

She was a member of Holy Assumption Catholic Church where she sang in various choirs and the Superior Elks Lodge #403. She volunteered at Pattison School and was a member of the PTA. Barb enjoyed traveling with Bill during the winter to the Southwest.

She was preceded in death by her parents: husband, Bill; brother, Francis; and many aunts.

Barb is survived by her son, Don (Bill Baskins) Schiller of Arlington Heights, IL; daughter, Kathie (Sean Doyle) Palmquist of Prior Lake, MN; twin granddaughters, Ella and Emma Palmquist of Prior Lake; sisters, Margaret (Robert) Braun of Superior and Jean (Robert) Kari of Morgan Park; brother, James Urbanski of Duluth; nephews, Blaine, Mike and Derek Kari, and Ryan Braun; niece, Alyssa Rink; special friend, Tim Palmquist; and numerous cousins and extended family.

Visitation will be on Sunday June 12 ^th from 4:00-7:00 p.m. at Downs Funeral Home, 1617 N 19 ^th St. Visitation will resume on Monday June 13 ^th from 10:00 a.m. until the 11:00 a.m. Funeral Mass at Holy Assumption Catholic Church, 5601 Tower Ave, with Fr. Joji Reddy Boyapati as celebrant.  Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery at a later date.

Memorials my be directed to St. Scholastica Scholarship Fund in Barb's memory.
