Barbara G. Sperling, 72, of Solon Springs, died unexpectedly Sunday, April 10, 2022, in Solon Springs.

Barbara was born on Oct. 6, 1949, in Superior, the daughter of John and Barbara (Rauchenstein) Lawson. She married Timothy Sperling in December of 1971.

She graduated from Superior Senior High School with the class of 1967 and went on to earn her Bachelor's Degree from the University of Wisconsin Superior.

Barbara taught kindergarten in Solon Springs for many years. She enjoyed music and relished time with her family and friends. She would meet regularly with her retired teacher group.

She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Jim (Mickey) Lawson, sister-in-law, Mary Lawson and daughter-in-law, Tracy Sperling.

Barbara is survived by her husband, Tim of Solon Springs; sons, Pete Sperling of Minnetonka, MN and Paul (Kate) Sperling of Delano, MN; grandchildren, Lauren, Lindsey, Leah, Jake, Luke, Josie, and Stone; siblings, John Lawson, Katy (Bob) Meyers, Hugh Lawson, and Peter (Dorothea) Lawson; and many nieces and nephews.

A Celebration of Barbara's Life will be held on Saturday, April 16 ^th from 3:00 – 6:00 p.m. at the Solon Spring's Community Center, 11523 S Business HWY 35, Solon Springs, WI 54873. Interment will be in Evergreen Cemetery at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Barbara's name to the Solon Springs School District.
