Barbara A. VanBuskirk, 80, of South Range, died Sunday, November 24, 2019, at St. Luke's Hospice, Duluth.

She was born in Superior on November 27, 1938, the daughter of Chester and Selina (Trisko) Kempton.

Barbara Kempton married Clyde VanBuskirk on December 1, 1956, at the former St. Patrick's Church in Superior.

She was a real estate agent for many years and was a member of St. Anthony's Catholic Church, the Realtors Association, and Ducks Unlimited.

Barb enjoyed art, especially painting, and being with her family.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and 7 brothers, Roland, Jerry, Don, Bob, Barney, Leo, and Joe Kempton.

Barb is survived by her husband of almost 63 years, Clyde; daughters, Ann Martineau of Superior, Maureen (Russ) Wester of Superior, and Babette Specht of South Range; son, Craig (Pauline) VanBuskirk of Poplar; grandchildren, Jerry, Bronson, Amanda, Michaela, Jennifer, Austin, Duran, Craig Jr., and Cody; great-grandchildren, Ethan, Michael, Sophie, Harper, Mason, and Maci; brother, Chet (Helen) Kempton of Atlanta, GA; sisters-in-law, Peggy Kempton of Louisiana, Sydney Minor of Louisiana, and Gloria Nelson of Lake Nebagamon; brother-in-law, Ted (Marsha) VanBuskirk of Trego; special niece, Barbara; and several nieces and nephews.

Visitation will begin at 9:30 a.m. Friday, November 29, 2019 at St. Anthony's Catholic Church, 4315 E. Third Street, Superior, until the 10:30 Funeral Mass. Following the Mass, everyone is invited to a luncheon in the parish hall.
