Beatrice J. Nordrum, 84, died Thursday, December 29, 2016, at Solvay Hospice House in Duluth.

She was born in Rockmont, WI, on March 25, 1932, the daughter of Joseph and Bessie Brannan.

Beatrice worked at Parkland Health Facility for 20 years and at St. Francis Nursing Home South for 2 years.  She enjoyed playing bingo, but most of all she loved being with her family.

She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Morris; daughter, Judy Sauter; sisters, Dorothy Christiansen, Mae Graff, Pearl Nelson, Myrtle Johnson, Marge Heckel and Violet Blundell; brothers, Charles Brannan, Robert Brannan, Louis Johnson, and John Brannan.

Beatrice is survived by her daughters, Gale (Doug Tate) Hicks, Duluth, and Linda (Terry) Martineau, Superior; brothers, Walter Brannan and Lloyd Brannan; grandchildren, Shan (Angie Rydberg) Martineau, Tina Johanson, Cara Schaeffer, Christie Martineau, Chris (George) Sauter McNelis, Amy (Mike) Sauter Johnson, Josh (Kristin) Hicks, Jessica Hicks, and Jacquelin (Brandon) Zacher-Hunter; great-grandchildren, Heather Martineau, Jalice Wilson, Hunter Martineau, Jaydon Martineau, Alicia Deverney, Jason Bowens, Isaac Schaeffer, Caleb Schaeffer, Kayleigh Johnson, Logan Johnson, Jordan Hicks, Jillian Hicks, Carter Pionk, Ava Hicks, Kylie Hicks, Delilah Zacher-Hunter, and Declan Zacher-Hunter; great-great-grandchild, Jason Bowens, Jr.; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Visitation will begin on Wednesday, January 4, 2017, from 11 a.m. until the 1 p.m. funeral service at Downs Funeral Home, corner of 19 ^th St. and Ogden Ave.  Reverend Michelle Rowell of Concordia Lutheran Church officiating.

Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Shan Martineau, Joshua Hicks, Jordan Hicks, Carter Pionk, Brandon Zacher-Hunter, and Jason Bowens.  Honorary pallbearers will be Butch Sauter and Terry Martineau.
