Obituary

Belynda Sue Burger, 55, of Superior, WI formerly of Foxboro, WI passed away August 12, 2026, unexpectedly at Essentia Health in Duluth, MN surrounded by her loved ones.

Belynda was born in Superior, WI on September 20, 1970, to Florence E. Burger (Brancel) and Duane Joseph Biemert. She attended school in Superior graduating in 1988. She attended Job Corp in St. Paul shortly after graduation.

Belynda was lucky enough to meet the love of her life Joseph Clarence Burger (of Foxboro) in high school and spend 35+ wonderful years together. They were married on February 14, 1997, in Duluth, Mn on the radio. They had 3 beautiful daughters together. Belynda worked on the assembly line at Michelina’s in Duluth and also Aqvila’s in the early 90’s but spent most of her time as a stay-at-home mom to her children and later helped care for her grandchildren, who were the light of her life.

In 2021, after the loss of her sister-in-law, Belynda helped create a scholarship for students at the Superior High School. She helped send 15 students to college. Belynda loved to shoot pool on the Thursday Night Women’s league and played for over 25 years. She was an avid sports fan, and she especially loved her Green Bay Packers, Milwaukee Bucks and Milwaukee Brewers.

Belynda was proceeded in death by her father Duane Biemert, father-in-law Frank Burger, sister-in-law Claudette Livingston and best friend Judy DeVeau.

Belynda is survived by her husband Joseph Burger; daughters Ashley (Alec) Rohlf, Kayla (James) Khane, Kristen (Colten) Middleton; her beloved grandchildren Katherine and Owen Khane. She is further survived by her mother Florence E. Burger and mother-in-law Katherine Burger. By her siblings Michael (Alayna) Burger, John (Jessica) Burger, Allen Finstad, Laurie Hayes, Lisa Komerak, Joy Biemert, and Holly Chase. Also, by many nieces and nephews. In addition, she is survived by her sister-in-law Georgia Boustead, and brothers-in-law Charles (Sarah) Burger and Frank (Angela) Burger. And by her beloved best friend Kathlina Howes.

The family would like to thank the staff at Essentia Health for their excellent care of Belynda.

A Celebration of life will be held at Borders Sports Bar, 3028 E State St (WI Hwy105), Superior, on Sunday September 20th at 1pm.
