Bertha B. Witt, 97, lifelong resident of Superior, died Tuesday, June 26, 2018, at Harmony House.

She was born in Superior on January 20, 1921, the daughter of Vernon and Mary McKee.

Bertha worked as a linen attendant at St. Mary's Hospital in Duluth. She was a very active member of Kenwood Lutheran Church in Duluth.

She enjoyed playing bingo and was a great baker.  Most of all, she loved her family.

Bertha is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Beverly Witt in 1974; son, Duane Witt in 1996 and infant son, Dennis Witt.

She is survived by her sons, Ronald (Kris) Witt of Fort Collins, CO, and Darrell Witt of Superior; daughter, Bev (Rob) Watson of Fort Collins, CO; grandchildren, David (Laura) Witt, Dan Witt, Doug (Tanya) Witt, Darin Witt, Katie (Josh Carroll) Watson, and Becky (Jamie) Wiggins; great-grandchildren, Makayla, Riley, Samantha, and Owen; sister, Rhoda Anderson of Bonita Springs, FL; and many nieces and nephews.

Bertha's visitation will be on Monday, July 2, 2018, from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m. at Downs Funeral Home, 1617 N 19 ^th Street.  Visitation will resume on Tuesday, July 3, at 10:00 a.m. until the 11:00 a.m. funeral service at Kenwood Lutheran Church, 2720 Myers Avenue in Duluth with Rev. Jeff Holter officiating.

Pallbearers will be her grandchildren.

Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery in Superior.
