Beth Alice Swanson, 73, of Superior, passed away on Sunday, June 15, 2025, at Twin Ports Health in Superior.

Beth was born on November 3, 1951, in Superior Fred E. and Ilene E. (Bjork) Swanson. She was raised in Maple, Wisconsin, where she developed a deep love for nature and an active lifestyle. She spent many joyful hours picking agates and berries and was known for her athleticism. A skilled horsewoman, Beth took pride in breaking horses for her siblings to ride.

Beth was a gentle soul who loved both animals and people. She never spoke ill of anyone and approached life with kindness and grace. She took great pride in her work at the former Superior Vocational Center, where she made meaningful contributions and lasting friendships.

The family would like to extend special thanks to Lutheran Social Services, as well as the compassionate staff at Faxon House and Twin Ports Health Services, where Beth resided prior to her passing. She truly loved everyone there and considered them her extended family.

Beth was preceded in death by mother and stepfather, Ilene and Oscar Anderson; father, Fred; and her sister, Claudia Keeler.

She is survived by her sisters, Carolyn (Leo) Jensen of Superior, Mary (Russ) Drobot of Superior, Kristine (Steve) Kucharyski of South Range, WI, Lori (Jerry Amys) Swanson of Hawthorne, WI, and Janice (Kenny) Kalligher of Duluth, MN; her brothers, Fred (Doreen) Swanson of Poplar, WI, and Jon Swanson of Poplar, WI; her brother-in-law, Calvin Keeler of Poplar, WI, along with numerous nieces and nephews.

A Celebration of Life for family and friends will be held on Sunday July 27, 2025, from 2:00 to 5:00 p.m. at the home of Mary and Russ Drobot, 609 East 4th Street, Superior, WI.
