Betty Jo Edwards was given the gift of life, and now she has to give it back.  Betty Jo (Joey) Edwards, beloved wife, mother, and grandmother, left this earth to be with the Lord on September 20, 2019.

She was born October 17, 1947 in Superior, Wisconsin to Stanley and Delores (Sedlachek) Kotter, Jr.  Joey attended and graduated from catholic schools and went on to earn a teaching degree from UW-Superior in 1970.

She married Dennis W. Edwards on July 20, 1968, celebrating 51 years of marriage this past July. They had three daughters who made life a little more hectic and a lot more fun. Joey was happiest when she was surrounded by family. She never let a day go by without telling her husband and children how much she loved them.

Sadly, Joey leaves behind her husband, Dennis W. Edwards; three daughters, Kelly Jo (Paul) Pederson, Wendy (Brian) Coone, and Deana (Steven Christensen) Edwards; grandchildren, Jordan, Sydney, Ty, and Ella; sister, Patricia (Neil) Hagen; brother, R. J. (Wendy) Kotter; and many brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces and nephews, all of whom loved her dearly.

Preceding her in death were her parents; mother-in-law, Beverly Johnson; father-in-law, Marvin Edwards; and brother-in-law, Robert Edwards.

Visitation will be from 10 until the 11 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial, Thursday, September 26, 2019 at Cathedral of Christ the King, Superior.  Reverend Father Andrew Ricci will be the celebrant.

Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, Superior.

Following the cemetery committal service, everyone is invited back to the church for a luncheon.

Should friends desire, memorials may be made to the Boys and Girls Club of Superior, CASDA, or the donor's choice.
