Betty Lu Krause, 78, of Superior, died peacefully Saturday, November 29, 2014, at Villa-Marina Health and Rehabilitation Center, Superior.

Betty Lu was born June 19, 1936, in Lidgerwood, N.D., daughter of Fred and Ida (Wilprecht) David.

On June 9, 1955, in Lidgerwood, N.D., Betty Lu David married Elmer Krause. On January 1, 1966, they moved to make their home in Superior.

Betty cooked for or managed the A&W, Village Inn, Big 7 Café, and the Duluth Grill. She enjoyed cooking, trapshooting, baking, watching the Green Bay Packers, needlepoint and camping; but most importantly, spending time with her family.

Her memberships included Christ Lutheran Church and the Superior Trap and Gun Club.

Preceding her in death were her parents; husband, Elmer, the love of her life; grandson, Tommy; and an infant grandson.

Survivors include five sons and their spouses, Ron and Lynn, Kim and Barb, Kirk and DeeDee, Rick and Susie all of Superior and Alan and Susan of Hermantown, Minn.; grandchildren, Kris (Steve) Androsky, Merideth Shykes, Cody (Callie) Krause, Becca (Paul) Narverud, Travis, Robert, Catie, Peter and Doug Krause; great-grandchildren, Cruz, Nora and Caysen; sister, Janice Schiltz; brother, Marvin (Harriet) David; and many nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Tuesday, December 2, 2014, at the Downs Funeral Home, 1617 N. 19th Street, Superior. The memorial service will be held at 11a.m., Wednesday, at the funeral home, with Reverend Sarah Kerkes, pastor of Our Savior's Lutheran Church officiating.

Honorary pallbearers will be Betty's grandchildren.

Committal prayers will be at Greenwood Cemetery, Superior.
