Betty L. Gerding, 80, of Superior, died Saturday, July 8, 2017 at Twin Ports Health and Rehab.

Betty was born in Superior on Aug. 25, 1936 the daughter of Wilford 'Bud' and Florence Borreson.

She enjoyed playing games especially cribbage, Yahtzee and 500 Rummy. She loved spending time with her grandsons, Austin and Aaron.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Merrill Gerding, Sr.; a sister, Jackie Peterson; a step-son, Arthur Gerding; and many aunts and uncles.

Betty is survived by her children, Steven (Mary) Pederson of South Range, James (Marlys) Pederson of Superior, Scott (Robin) Gerding of Orange Park, FL, and Becky (Richard) Moe of Superior; many grandchildren, great-grandchildren and nieces and nephews; a sister, Josephine (Walter) Herrick of Superior; and step-children, Merrill Gerding, Jr. of Superior, David Gerding of Superior, Joe Gerding of Green Bay, WI, Jim Gerding of Minneapolis and Joanne Haas of Superior.

Visitation will be on Thursday July 13 ^th from Noon until the 1:00pm funeral service at Downs Funeral Home, 1617 N 19 ^th Street. Rev. Fr. Adam Laski will officiate. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery.
