Betty J. Oliver, 83, of Superior, died unexpectedly Saturday, February 1, 2014 in Aurora Colorado.
Betty was born in Detroit, Mich., on April 3, 1930 the daughter of Axel and Ruth Anderson.
She had worked as a pre-school teacher's aide at Cathedral School. She was a member of Holy Assumption Catholic Church, Elks Lodge #403 Ladies' Auxiliary and the Sacred Heart Circle.
She enjoyed her quilting club at Holy Assumption and to travel. Most important to her was spending time with her family.
Betty was preceded in death by her parents; her husband of 53 years, James; a sister, Barbara Tollefson; and a great-grandson, Luke.
She is survived by her children, David Oliver of Aurora, Colo., Carol (Ron) Pattee of Superior, Jim (Lori) Oliver of Aurora, Colo., Patty (Ron) Orlandi of Superior, and Susan (Larry) Shelgren of Barnum, Minn.; grandchildren, Erin, Meghan, Rhonda, Leslie, Renee, Angela, Anthony, Cody and Parker; and seven great-grandchildren.
Her memorial mass will be held on Sat. Feb. 15, at 11:00a.m. at Holy Assumption Catholic Church with Rev. Fr. Ronald Olson as celebrant. Visitation will begin one hour prior. Inurnment will be in Greenwood Cemetery in the spring.
