Beverly J. Bitner, 84, of Poplar, died Monday December 16, 2024, at Villa Marina Health and Rehab.

Beverly was born in Superior on February 8, 1940, the daughter of Eugene and Hazel (Kusela) Wilson.

She graduated from Northwestern High School with the class of 1958. She married Martin Bitner and they celebrated 48 years of marriage until his death in 2006.

Beverly worked for over 30 years as a secretary with the Maple School District. She was a Girl Scout Troop leader for many years and was very proud of her Finnish Heritage and a member of Lakeside Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband.

Beverly is survived by her children, Susan (Daniel) Nindorf of Texas, Shelly (Charles) Ells of Minnesota, Todd (Becky) Bitner of Poplar, and Jill (Richard) Carson of Arizona; 8 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren; siblings, Fran Webb and Debi (Gary) Gulbrandson; and many nephews.

A Celebration of Beverly's life will be held on Saturday, July 12, 2025, from 11:00 until 2:00 at the Lakeside Town Hall, 3215 Poplar River Rd., Poplar, WI 54864.

A private family interment was held at Lakeside Cemetery.
