She had a long career as a kindergarten teacher in Grosse Point, Mich., Madison, Wis. and Duluth, Minn.

She married Robert H. Gee in Sparta on August 17, 1945 and moved with him to Superior, Wis. in 1949 when he began his practice of law. She had two children, Robert C. Gee (Grace M. Gee) of St. Anthony, Minn. and Peter J. Gee (Maureen Gee) of Superior, Wis.; three grandchildren, Sonya Calgren, Robert D. Gee, and June B. Gee; two great-grandchildren, Clara and Henry Calgren; her sister, Elizabeth "Betty" Richardson; and various nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Robert "Homer" on May 1, 2008; and her brother-in-law, William Richardson.

She was a woman of great love and warmth for people, often fondly recalling her kindergarten students. She was a long-standing member of Faith United Methodist Church in Superior and BG Chapter of the PEO sisterhood. She had many interests: music, theater, foreign travel, flowers, and as a stitchery artist member of the Needle Art Guild. She treasured her friends and her Christian faith. In her last years she frequently spoke of her "Wonderful Life".
