On Friday, July 19, 2013, Bobbie Rochon, 69, of Superior, passed away peacefully after a lengthy illness.
Bobbie was a longtime Superior resident who enjoyed bowling on the Monday Afternoon Ladies League with "Jack's Girls". She was an active member of the Eagles Auxiliary, serving as a Past Madame President as well as a past state officer. Bobbie cherished the friends and memories made during her active years in the Eagles from out of town meetings and bowling tournaments. She was an active member of the former St. Louis Parish and most recently of St. Francis. Bobbie also enjoyed the time spent with family and friends during the holidays.
Bobbie was preceded in death by her parents, James Foust and Pauline "Dolly" Hill and a sister Dinah Monds of Ohio.
Bobbie is survived by her husband of 51 years, Don Rochon; their two daughters, Susan M. Rochon and Mary (Jeff) Pohjonen; granddaughter, Erin Pohjonen; sister, Kathy (Tim) Siiter; brothers, Jim Foust and Rick (Clara) Hill; a special uncle, Mike (Patricia) Soroski; along with several nieces and nephews.
Her visitation will be on Wed. July, 24, 2013 from 1 p.m. until the 2p.m. memorial service at Downs Funeral Home, corner of 19th St. and Ogden Ave. Rev. Fr. Ronald Olson of Holy Assumption Catholic Church will officiate. There will be a luncheon at the Eagles Club following the service.
