Brenda Rose Buesgen, 71, longtime resident of Superior and most recently of Rice Lake, passed away unexpectedly after surgery, on Saturday, December 21, 2024, at Twin Ports Health Services in Superior.

Brenda was born in Duluth on October 17, 1953, the daughter of James and Patricia (Ennis) Hemmingsen. She graduated from Superior Senior High School with the class of 1972.

Brenda was a great floral designer working for over 30 years at Engwall's Florist in Superior, creating thousands of beautiful floral arrangements for many special occasions and events in the community. Outside of work, she enjoyed cooking, socializing with friends, and watching movies with her family.

She was preceded in death by her parents and brothers, Scott and Calvin Hemmingsen.

Brenda is survived by her children, Nicole (Donovan) Amotozio of Superior and Chris (Melissa) Buesgen of Chippewa Falls, WI; grandchildren, Alyssa and Dayton Amotozio and Addisyn and Rhylee Buesgen; siblings, Patrick Hemmingsen and Anita Lind; and many nieces, nephews, and extended family.

A Celebration of Brenda's Life will be held on Sunday, December 29th from 1:00 – 4:00 p.m. at VIP Pizza, 1201 Tower Avenue, Superior.
