Brenda Lavern Smith, 64 of Foxboro, WI passed away Thursday, April 30th, 2026.

Brenda was born in Duluth, MN to Richard and Winnogene Geisert on October 27th, 1961. She attended Superior Senior High School and graduated in 1979. She attended WITC where she earned her certificate as an LPN. She worked in healthcare at the Northland Pharmacy, St. Mary's Urgent Care, St. Luke's Oncology and most recently at the Center for Alcohol and Drug Treatment until her retirement in October 2025.

Brenda enjoyed snowmobiling, family gatherings, spoiling her grandkids, going on weekends away with her husband, gardening, fashion, painting her nails red, Mary Kay skin care, decorating for the holidays, going to the cabin, and caring for others.

Brenda was preceded in death by her husband, Doug; her mother, Winnogene Johnson; stepfather, Raymond Johnson; father, Richard Geisert; and sister, Kathryn Stark.

Brenda is survived by her daughter, Anna (Marcos) Colon; sons, Paul (Ashley Dalbec) Hartel, and John (Megan Moore) Smith; grandkids, Sophie, Noelle, and Aurelia Colon, soon to be born Baby Hartel, Abby and Aleah; and her beloved dog Rocco.

Visitation will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, May 8th at Downs Life Celebration Center, 1902 N 34th St., Superior, with memorial service to follow at 11:00 a.m.
