Bruce Carignan, 77, of Superior, WI, and Frostproof, FL, died peacefully on Sunday, October 6, 2024, at Essentia St. Mary's Medical Center.

Bruce was born on August 9, 1947, in Ashland, WI, to Clara Ann (Thompson) and Robert A. Carignan.

Bruce spent his days as a full-time barber and part-time BS'er. The barbershop was always full of laughter, and many people came in to visit for his humor, stories, or even to place a bet. Bruce often played pranks on his customers, chuckling before the punchline even landed.. He also owned The End Zone Bar, where he enjoyed socializing. He was always quick to offer a drink. Bruce will be remembered for his sense of humor, being a jokester, and his generosity.

Bruce lived in Iron River as a young child until his family relocated to the North End of Superior when his father started working on the railroad. He graduated from Central High School and went on to barber college in Eau Claire, WI. He raised his family and lived in the country for over 50 years on Carignan Road.

Bruce was preceded in death by his parents; his brother, Earl Carignan; and his son-in-law, Brian Androski.

Survivors include his significant other, Kathy Olson; his daughters, Tracey (Rob) Swanby, Sarah (Jeff) Saucedo, and Jennifer (Todd) Williams; his sisters, Jill (Dan) Crist and Kim (Ray) Zifko; his grandchildren, Claire, Lucas, and Elise Androski, Zachary Swanby, Mia and Maverick Saucedo; his stepchildren, Jeremy (Kari) Olson and Jonathan (Taylor) Olson; and his step-grandchildren, Robert, Tyler, Michael, and Nash Olson, and Rene and Payton Williams.

Honorary pallbearers include Rob Swanby, Jeff Saucedo, Todd Williams, Jeremy Olson, Jonathan Olson, Larry DeFranza, Scott Johnson, and Randy Berkseth.

Visitation will be held from 4 to 6 PM on Sunday, October 13, 2024, at Downs Life Celebration Center, 1902 N. 34th St., Superior, WI. Visitation will continue on Monday, October 14, 2024, from 10:00 AM until the 11:00 AM funeral service. Officiating the service will be a close family friend, Cindy Theien.

Interment will be in Greenwood Cemetery. A luncheon will be served following at Downs Life Celebration Center.
