It is with heavy hearts that we share our father's passing. Bruce E. Jones, 88, of Superior, passed away peacefully on Friday June 6, 2025, at Essentia -St. Mary's Hospital in Duluth, Mn.

Bruce was born in Superior on June 9, 1936, the son of Charles and Mabel (Warner) Jones.

He served his country in the US Army, 101st Airborne "Screaming Eagles" in Fort Campbell, KY.

Bruce attended Wisconsin State University, Arizona State University in Tempe and University of Minnesota, Minneapolis, earning his master's degree in education. He taught science for many years at Junior High Schools in the Minneapolis School District.

Bruce enjoyed collecting antiques, southwest art and jewelry and also enjoyed cooking, sports, and was an avid reader.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Mabel; brother, John Jones; and sister-in-law, Susan Jones.

Bruce is survived by his daughters, Denise (Charles) Ducart and Valerie (Barry) Rosberg; brother, Robert Jones; grandson, Ryan (Jeni) Ducart; great granddaughter, Ellie Ducart; nephews, Jeffrey Jones and Michael Jones; niece, Cynthia (Vincent) Jones- Catanzaro; and great niece, Aurelia Catanzaro.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, August 10th from Noon until the 1:00 funeral service at Downs Life Celebration Center, 1902 N 34th St.

Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery with Military Honors accorded by the Richard I. Bong American Legion Post #435.
