Bruce Lee Kronlund, 85, of Superior, WI, died peacefully on September 4, 2023, at Viewcrest Health Center in Duluth, MN.

Born May 31, 1938, in Superior to Orval and Elsie (Medjo) Kronlund, Bruce graduated from Central High School and from Superior State University (UWS) with a degree in Business Administration and a minor in Biology. He joined the Wisconsin Army National Guard during his college years, serving at Fort Lewis, WA, during the Berlin Crisis.

Bruce spent his entire career in the accounting field, starting at Murphy Oil Refinery in 1963 and later working at Ford Motor Company, Haglun Boat Company, Jeno's, Arrow Chevrolet, American Fish & Seafood, and the US Forest Service; he retired after 18 years as the Account Supervisor in the Douglas County Clerk of Courts office in Superior.

A long-term member at Pilgrim Lutheran Church, Bruce graciously helped family and friends with errands and home maintenance. He was a Ford man through and through, and he liked tinkering with his cars, tractor, boat, motorcycle, and anything else with an engine. He especially enjoyed his lake place in Gordon, tending the property to keep it in prime condition, restoring the cabins, and watching the wildlife.

Bruce was preceded in death by his parents, many aunts and uncles, and local cousins Loren (Beulah) Nelson, Lois I. Nelson, and Kendall (Lois) Nelson. He is survived by his cousins' children, Craig (Mary Jo) Nelson, Mark (Laurie) Nelson, Valerie (Fred) Sommer, Tracy (Mike) Maurer and Michael (Candace) Nelson.

Visitation will be held at Downs Funeral Home, 1617 N 19th St., Superior, on Monday, September 11, at 10:00 a.m. with a service at 11:00 a.m. Interment follows at Graceland Cemetery, Superior.

In lieu of flowers, memorials preferred to American Cancer Society or a charity of choice.
