In Loving Memory of Bryce Faddon Brown

October 22, 1978 – September 3, 2026

It is with tremendous sorrow that we announce the passing of Bryce Faddon Brown, who left us in the early morning hours of September 3, 2026, at the age of 47, surrounded by those who loved him.

Bryce was born on October 22, 1978, at Holy Rosary Hospital in Miles City, Montana. He attended Kinsey Elementary until 1990 before continuing his education at Plevna Elementary/High School, where he participated in football, basketball, and track, as well as Academic Olympics. In 1997, he graduated as Valedictorian.

Following graduation, Bryce attended the Illinois Institute of Technology in Chicago, where he majored in Computer Science. During his time there, he joined Triangle fraternity, forming friendships that would last a lifetime. After college, Bryce moved to Baker, Montana, where he began his career as an IT technician.

It was during his time in Baker that Bryce met the love of his life, January “Jan” Dawn Lamon. The two were married on September 28, 2005, and began their life together in Glendive, Montana. Their family soon grew with the birth of their two sons, Bradley Miles Brown and Sean Patrick Brown, who were the pride and joy of Bryce’s life.

As Bryce’s career ascended, he moved his family to South Range, Wisconsin, in 2013. There, he discovered and nurtured a love for gardening, cooking, and baking. He took great pride in growing food in his own garden and enjoyed the challenge of preparing special holiday meals for his family. He had recently made chokecherry syrup, a beloved family favorite that reflected his joy in creating things for the people he loved.

Bryce was also an avid gamer and had a lifelong love of science fiction books and movies. He possessed a curious mind and enjoyed exploring new ideas and worlds. Above all, Bryce had a special place in his heart for cats. He was affectionately known as the “cat whisperer.” He always seemed to have several cats by his side, and they, in turn, seemed to love him just as much.

Bryce will be lovingly remembered by his wife, Jan; sons, Bradley and Sean; mother, Karyn Brown; sister, Billie Brown; brother, Bret (Karla) Brown; sisters in law, Jodi Halvorson and Sara Brown, along with extended family, lifelong friends, and all those whose lives he touched.

Bryce was preceded in death by his father, Dennis Brown, and his brother, Bob Brown.

Bryce’s sharp wit, quick sense of humor, intelligence, and kind heart will be deeply missed. His passing leaves an immeasurable emptiness in the lives of those who knew and loved him. He was a loving father, a devoted husband, a cherished son and brother, and a true friend.

Though he is no longer with us, Bryce’s memory will live on in the stories we share, the traditions he created, the laughter he brought into our lives, and, most of all, in the hearts of the people who loved him.
