Calvin J. Hemmingsen, 64, of Superior, Wis. died Tues., June 16, 2015 in his residence.
He was born April 5, 1951 in Superior to Patricia R. (Ennis) and James E. Hemmingsen .
Cal served his country in the U. S. Army. For twenty-nine years he was employed by the Interlake Steamship Co.
Cal enjoyed fishing, hunting, and being at the cabin in Iron River, Wis.
Surviving are two daughters, Angela (Jeffrey) Lutz of Oulu, Wis. and Marie (Tony) Chavez of Superior; a brother, Patrick Hemmingsen of Superior; two sisters, Brenda Buesgen of Superior and Anita Linn of Ashland, Wis.; six grandchildren, Johnny, Tina, Tony, Clarissa, Sara, and Saya; and a great-grandson, Domanick.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Scott; and a cousin, John Ennis.
His memorial service will be held in Downs Funeral Home, corner of Ogden Ave. & 19th St., at 9:30 a.m. on Sat., June 20th with Rev. Fr. Andrew Ricci, Rector of Cathedral Of Christ The King officiating.
A gathering of family and friends will be held at Jack's Place following the service.
