Obituary

Carl E. Lasfolk, 97, of Superior, died Monday September 6, 2010 at St. Francis Health and Rehabilitation Center.

Carl was born in Superior on August 9, 1913 the son of Ada (Carlson) and August Lasfolk.

He enlisted in the Navy serving his country from 1938 to 1942.

He married Lempi Mary Lasfolk on August 27, 1962 and celebrated 44years of marriage until her death on November 25, 2006.

Carl had worked for the Northern Pacific Railroad and also in Alaska. He was a member of Faith United Presbyterian church and the VFW. He enjoyed animals and wildlife and going fishing. He loved to dance. Carl liked socializing, especially having coffee at the Androy.

He was preceded in death by his wife; his parents; a sister, Lucille; and a brother, Walter.

Carl is survived by his niece, Mary Lou Vendela and his great nephews, John (Christa) and Donald (Tracie) Vendela.

His funeral service will be held on Thurs. Sept. 9, at 10:30 a.m. at Faith United Methodist Church with Rev. Joel Certa-Werner as officiant. Visitation will begin one hour prior to the service. Inurnment will be on Fri. Sept. 10, at 10:00 a.m. in Greenwood Cemetery with military honors accorded by the American Legion Richard I. Bong post #435.
