Carl F. "Bone" Roberts, 80 of Superior died on Wednesday, September 20, 2023 at Villa Marina in Superior, WI.

He was born October 28, 1942 to Rose (Ridder) and George Roberts in Superior.

Carl was employed as a sign man at Lakehead Signs doing designing, painting, and installation for many years.  He was a member of the Allied Painters Union #106 and IBEW Union #242.  Carl was an instructor through the Painters Union at Lake Superior College; he also worked as a bartender at The Hub.

He was also a member of Our Saviors Lutheran Church and the Studebakers Drivers Club.  Carl was an avid fisherman; he loved the Brule and was a member of the Brule River Sportsman Club.  He loved music especially bluegrass and country, he enjoyed playing the guitar and mandolin. Carl was passionate for aviation, working with stained glass, and was a genealogy buff.

Carl was preceded in death by his parents, his son, Jonathan Roberts and his brother in-law, Jim Gustafson.

Survivors include his wife, Carol; daughter, Gretchen (Luke Shaul) Lisdahl, son, Steve Roberts; daughter in-law, Dawn Roberts; brother in-law, Gary Wanek; grandchildren, Sam (Jess Griffin) Roberts, Jett Roberts, Colton Roberts, Max Lisdahl; sisters, Judy Gustafson, and June (Bud) Arneson; brothers, Jerry (Dokhee) Roberts, Paul (Pat) Roberts; numerous nieces and nephews.

A special thank you to the staff at Villa Marina for their care of Carl in his final days.

A Funeral Service will be held 11:00 a.m. Saturday, October 28, 2023 at Our Saviors Lutheran Church in Superior with a visitation one hour prior to the service in the church.
