Carl Vernon Stavig,Sr.,  80, of Duluth, died Wednesday, April 7, 2021 in Superior.

He was born December 12, 1940 in Chicago, IL, son of Paul and Evelyn Stavig.

He honorably served his country with the U.S. Army.

One of Carl's favorite pastimes was weightlifting.

Carl worked as a truck driver, both nationally and locally.  During his retirement years, he volunteered as a driver for the Veterans Administration.

Preceding him in death were his parents; wife, Donna Mae (Lane) Stavig; and son, Paul Stavig.

Survivors include his children, Tammy Stavig, Superior, Carla Holmes, Superior, Carl Stavig, Jr., Salol, MN, Shirley Stavig, Las Vegas, NV, and Paula Stavig, Duluth; 13 grandchildren; and 5 great-grandchildren.

As per Carl's wishes, no service will be held at this time.
