Obituary

Carlyn G. Callahan, 70, of Rochester, Minn., formerly of Superior and Iron River, Wis., died Sunday, May 8, 2016, in Rochester.

She was born November 27, 1945, in Duluth, Minn., daughter of Theodore "Pat" and Muriel (Hanson) Callahan.

As a Wisconsin resident, Carlyn was an active member of Concordia Lutheran Church and the Red Hat Ladies, both of Superior, and the Rebekah Lodge, Iron River.

She loved playing a clown, and her clown name was "Cuddles."

Preceding her in death were her parents; and brother, James Callahan.

Survivors include her son, John "Jay" Peterson, Rochester, Minn.; brother, Ted (Donna) Callahan, Iron River, Wis.; sister, Patricia (John) Weiss, Iron River, Wis.; and several nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be from 10 until the 11 a.m. service, Monday, May 16, 2016, at Our Savior's Lutheran Church, Iron River. Reverend John Peterson will officiate. A luncheon will be served at the church immediately following the service.

Committal prayers will be at the Iron River City Cemetery, after the luncheon.
