Obituary

Carol Ann Coleman, 72 of Superior, died unexpectedly, yet peacefully on June 16, 2015 surrounded by her family while battling cancer at St. Luke's Hospice in Duluth.

Carol was born on Nov. 30, 1942 the daughter of Herbert and Lucille Lawrence.

She was a member of Bethel Lutheran Church. Carol enjoyed flower gardening and cooking. She also enjoyed traveling and playing cards. She was a car enthusiast who liked going to car shows and watching NASCAR. She loved her pets, Squirty, Journey, and Cat. Most important to her was spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 49 years, Stanley on Aug. 3, 2011; her parents and a brother, Kenneth Lawrence.
Carol is survived by her children, Shawn (Melanie) Coleman of Foxboro, and Sheila Love of Superior; grandchildren, Garrett and Adam Coleman, Samantha (Chris Kirkoff) Strodtman and Christopher Strodtman; great-granddaughter, Addison Faith Rae Mettler; brothers, Herbert 'Herbie' (Carol) Lawrence of Oak Creek, WI, and James (Terri) Lawrence of Oak Creek; sister, Lois Larson of Cudahay, WI; sister-in-law, Kathy Lawrence of Oak Creek; and many nieces and nephews.

Visitation will begin on Fri. June 19, from 5-7 p.m. and continue on Sat. June 20, from Noon until the 1:00 p.m. funeral service at Downs Funeral Home, corner of 19th St. and Ogden Ave. Rev. Sarah Kerkes of Our Saviors Lutheran Church will officiate. Interment will be in Gordon Cemetery.
