Carol E. Mead, 77, of Duluth and formerly of Superior, died Friday, February 25, 2022, at Benedictine Health Center, Duluth.

She was born December 3, 1944, in Superior, daughter of Keith and Lillian (Lemppinen) Prior.

Carol was a career educator, having taught English most of her life in Duluth.

Reading was her favorite past time.

Preceding her in death were her parents; husband, Thomas Mead in 1966; and sister, Paula Pederson.

Survivors include her brother-in-law, James Pederson, Duluth; nephew, Michael (Jaylene) Pederson, Brainerd, MN; and grand nephews, Jay and Mitchell.

Burial will be in the family lot at Greenwood Cemetery, Superior.

As per Carol's wishes, there will be no service.

Should friends desire, memorials may be made to Benedictine Health Center, Duluth.
