Catherine Alice "DeDe" Lane Apple, 82, of Superior, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Friday, March 08, 2013, at Golden Living Center, Superior.

She was born November 24, 1930 in Ordway, Colorado, daughter of Reuben and Catherine (Williams) Trentor.

Preceding her in death were her parents; first husband, Loren Lane; second husband, Curtis Apple; step-daughters, Alice Barnard and Paulette Frikart; brothers, Reuben Trentor, Jr., and John Trentor; and sister, Esther Sitzenstock.

Survivors include her daughter, Kim (Scott) Danielson, Superior; son, Marc (Dori) Lane, Superior; 11 grandchildren, Malinda, Krissa, Jeremy, Brandon, Kathryn "Kaefie", Marc Jr., Kelly, David, Loren, Tom and Kathy Ann; 18 great-grandchildren; a great-great-grandchild; sisters, Mary Catherine (LeRoy) Eilf, Standish, MI, Phebe Emma (Henry) Lane, Superior, Charlotte Louise Young, Superior, and Janice Lorene Young, Menomonie, WI; and several nieces and nephews. DeDe and Loren also cared for over 70 foster children.

Visitation will be from 10 until the 11 a.m. service, Wednesday, March 13, 2013 at First Evangelical Covenant Church, 3311 Hammond Avenue, Superior, with Reverend Stephen Staurseth officiating.

Committal prayers will be at Greenwood Cemetery, Superior.

Downs Funeral Home, 1617 N. 19th Street, Superior, is assisting the family with arrangements.
