Catherine 'Cathy' M. Chance, 56, currently of Duluth and formerly of Superior, died Thursday, February 20, 2020 at Essentia St. Mary's Hospital in Duluth from complications with pneumonia.

Cathy was born in San Francisco on June 7, 1963. She enjoyed going to the beach, picking rocks, hippies and fairies. She loved to be with her family and friends. Cathy was always helping people.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Cathy is survived by her sons, Joseph (Tammy) Chance of Florida, Jason Schmidt of St. Cloud, and Anthony Blomfelt of Superior; grandchildren, Malia, Miley, Rylan, McKinley, Autumn and Logan; sister Melanie Chance of Nevada; special friend, Richard Larsen; best friends, Nemely Hendricks, Scott Laprante, Samantha Cotton, and Dahpne Johnson; and her beloved dog, Daisy.

A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, March 7 ^th from 2:00 – 4:00 p.m. at Downs Funeral Home, 1617 N 19 ^th Street, Superior.
